Bad News

I had the pleasure of working as a guest instructor alongside Alex F. Newsome for the VideoMaker Workshop held by FabLab Vittorio Veneto in December 2016. We held a lesson on videomaking and filmic language, followed by a practical exercise, i.e. the shooting of a scene adapted from PROJECT MANHATTAN, a screenplay written by Alex F. Newsome and Jurgen Bellet.

This is a sample of the video made for this project. This is not the final video as it is exclusive property of FabLab Vittorio Veneto. The material shot during the lesson was then use to compile this video, which served as promotional material for the full course and given to the workshop participants.

The class

We held a basic lecture on film and cinematic language followed by a practical workshop to teach the students (about 20) how to use various types of equipment on set, from camera to slider.

At the end of the day, a quick edit of the scenes was carried out to show the resulting work to the students. The final editing was only done later with the necessary calm.
